What We Do

Our duty is as diverse and dynamic as our members. The Alumni Association serves as a vital link in three key areas:

1. Giving Back to the University: True to our roots, we are committed to the growth of our alma mater. Through various initiatives—including infrastructure development, research grants, student scholarships, and faculty support—we channel the resources and expertise of our members back into the University. From providing hostel accommodation and classroom renovations to establishing endowments for indigent students, our contributions are tangible testaments to our enduring gratitude. We believe that the success of Unilorin is a reflection of our own success.

2. Empowering Our Members: Your journey does not end at graduation; it transforms. The Alumni Association is your lifelong partner in professional and personal growth. We organize career fairs, mentorship programs, entrepreneurship workshops, and executive networking events, with a flagship annual mentorship  programme themed EMPLOYABLE-ME with the maiden edition held in 2025, where start-up capital was give to 10 of members.   We connect seasoned professionals with fresh graduates, facilitate business partnerships, and create a supportive ecosystem where every member can thrive. Whether you are seeking a career transition, a business mentor, or simply a friendly face in a new city, our alumni network is here to assist you.

3. Building a Global Community:  With chapters spanning every state, Europe and the Americas—from Lagos and Abuja to London, Houston, and beyond—the Unilorin Alumni Association is a truly global family. We host local gatherings, annual congresses, webinars, and other events that celebrate our shared identity. These connections transcend professional networking; they become friendships, collaborations, and a sense of home away from home.
